![]() Today's PhotoGreetings to SUMMER and hopefully some fantastic hiking weather...I can tell you that it isn't quite summer yet in the higher altitudes in Glacier National Park, where some of the key trails -- such as Dawson Pass (that trail starts at Two Medicine, shown in this photo), Ptarmigan Tunnel and Grinnell Glacier are still under way too much snow for the average slackpacker. But as always, the hiking in Glacier is top-notch no matter what trail you're on. Some days we don't change it at all, especially when we're hiking, camping, skiing, or slacking. But we change it most of the time. Except Sundays. And usually Saturdays. Holidays, of course, we don't change it then either. If, on the other hand, you're looking at the same photo but a new description, it means we did something wrong, or perhaps your computer is about to go HAL on you. Better turn it off and go take a hike. Please click here to go back to the top of the page. Please click here for the Slackpacker web site Want to contribute a photo for "hike of the day?"
